Summer School Teachers

In preparation for the School District of Gillett's 2019 Summer School Program, we are seeking Summer School Enrichment Teachers (K-12) who will monitor and assess student learning and provide instruction,

The Summer School Program is a 24-day learning enhancement offered to students entering grades K-12 during the ‘19-’20 school year in the Gillett School District. Classes are offered on a week by week basis, four days per week (Monday - Thursday), for a total of six weeks from 8 am - noon each day.  Teachers are welcome to submit proposals for up to 6 - 1 week long classes. Summer school will take place primarily in Gillett Elementary School during the weeks of June 17th and 24th, and July 8th, 15th, 22rd, and 29th.

Enrichment classes will run for all classes that have at least 10 students registered. You must also fill out the Enrichment Class Form. Enrichment Class Forms can be received by contacting the Summer School Coordinators.

Gillett School District are seeking applicants for the Head Volleyball Coaching position beginning immediately. Qualifications for the position include a knowledge of the sport and prior coaching experience, preferably at the high school level.

Applicants must:

1. Be able to work collaboratively with players, educators, parents, coaches, media and administrators

2. Be able to model behavior which is expected in their coaching

3. Possess strong interpersonal communication skills

4. Possess, or be able to obtain, coaching education requirements as laid out by WIAA requirements

5. Possess, or be able to obtain, First Aid/CPR/AED training as required by the WIAA

6. Be able to pass a Criminal Background Check

Responsibilities include: Regular attendance at all practices and competitions, creation and execution of practice plans, delegation of duties to assistant coaches, work cooperatively with the Junior High program, communication with parents/guardians of players, responsible supervision of all team members during any team-oriented events. maintaining accurate records of all issued equipment.
