On Saturday Kasey H, Evan P and Alex P competed in the Middle School State Track and Field Championships in Waupun.  Alex placed 4th in the 1600 and 5th in 800. Evan placed 9th in the 1600 and 6th in the 800. Kasey placed 19th in the 1600 with a personal record time of 5:52.63.

Any seniors interested in purchasing a Jostens’ graduation announcement or two, there are some available at the main office for $1.50 each.

Seniors: If you know of a scholarship that you will be receiving and would like it announced at graduation, please let Mrs. Egan at the office know the name of the scholarship as soon as you know.

HS girls in grades 8-11 interested in volleyball for next year, there will be a player/parent meeting on Tuesday, May 22, at 5:30 in the commons.

There will be a meeting Tuesday, May 21, for HS girls (grades 8-11) who are interested in HS Girls Basketball for next year at 6pm in the commons.

The Bike to School Day is rescheduled for Wednesday, May 22, with a new starting point, the CESA #8 office.   Turn in your registration and you will be able to be fitted for a helmet and possibly win a bike!  Updated registration forms are available at the main office.

There will be a Peru informational meeting for students and parents Wednesday, May 22 at 5:30 pm. See Miss Umentum if you have conflicts or questions.

The regional BB game will be in Peshtigo on Thursday, May 23rd.  Bus leaves at 2:10, please dismiss players at 1:50pm.

The Jungle Cup now has Gillett Spirit Wear available. There will be Gillett lanyards, stickers, magnets and t-shirts.  Funset Passes and Movie Passes have been reduced to 10 Tiger Tickets.

There will be daily deals so make sure to check out the bulletin board near the Cafe’.

The Gillett FFA Plant Sale is happening now until May 25.  The greenhouse will be open to the public from 3:15-5:00pm Wednesday thru Friday and Saturday mornings from 9am to noon.

We are continuing to collect Box Tops for Education.  If you have any to bring in, please put them in the mailbox outside the auditorium.

HS students.  The yearbook cost is $55.  You can pick up an order form from the main office or order online.

We also want you to know that this year’s HS yearbook will cover from last March 2018 through June 5th of 2019.   Yearbooks will be distributed in early August 2019, with autograph booklets available at the end of May to get signed by friends and then placed in your yearbook with an adhesive strip.  Deadline to order is Tuesday, May 28.

High School Boys:  Upon turning 18 yrs old, you MUST register with Selective Service.  Go to www.sss.gov

The Shawano County Land Conservation Department is again providing $100 scholarships for Shawano County youth (students entering grades 9-12 this fall) to attend WI Land+Water Conservation Camp this summer.  The deadline to apply for a scholarship is May 31, 2019.  The annual WI Land+Water Conservation Camp will again be at North Lakeland Discovery Center (Manitowish Waters, WI) the week of June 17-20, 2019. Ruby’s Pantry is Saturday, June 8.  Volunteers should arrive between 6:30-7:00am.  Good time for community service hours for MS/HS students.  Bring your paperwork with you. Registration for food is from 8:00-10:00am.  Distribution starts at 8:30am. Cost is $20 per share. Remember to bring 2 boxes/totes with you.
