Any student that wants permission to ride a bus to another student’s house, please make sure the office has verbal/written permission from your parent(s) and the other student’s parent(s), too.

The Jungle Cup Cafe’ will be open Thursday.  Due to the end of the year approaching, the Jungle Cup will not be restocking products. Come get your favorite Jungle Cup Goodies before they sell out! There are still Funset Boulevard Passes and Movie Passes available for 15 tickets.

The secondary building is no longer collecting Milk Moola caps or bag labels, BUT we are collecting Box Tops for Education.  If you have any to bring in, please put them in the mailbox outside the auditorium.

Senior FFA Members interested in applying for the Gillett FFA Alumni Scholarship, please pick up an application from Mrs. DeBauch.

Spring Athletes:  Make sure all physicals/paperwork is turned in.  Are you passing all of your classes? Pick up paperwork at the office to take to all your teachers.  Sports fee still owed by Sheridan K., Makayla F., Bruce S. and Ethan A. Physicals still needed for Sheridan K., Anna B., Savannah Z.  Any questions, stop at the office.

Students: If you plan on keeping your spring picture packet, you can pay online or bring the money to the main office.   Checks must be made out to Lifetouch.  If you don’t want your pictures, but forgot them at home, please return the packet to the office.

Attention Oconto County Fair Exhibitors:  Sheep Weigh-In will be held on Saturday, Apr. 27, from 9:00-10:00am.

HS Students: Prom is set for Saturday, Apr. 27 from 8-11pm.  Prom Guest Passes are now available at the office.  Post Prom, which will be held at the Hillside Assembly of God Church, also has permission forms available.  

Hillside Assembly is looking for volunteers (HS students or adults) to help with the planning and setting up for Post Prom.  You can contact Mr. Dreier, if interested in helping.

Prom Tickets will be sold in advance this year.  You are able to purchase them from Mrs. Miklszewicz before school, during 3rd hour study or after school. In advance prices are $4 for 1 and $7 for 2.  At the Door: $5 for 1 or $8 for 2.

The PTO Tiger Chase Color Run registration price is $15.  The run will be held on Saturday, May 4, at 9:00am.  Registration forms are available at the office. This is an untimed event so WIAA athletes are able to participate in this run!  The PTO is also looking for volunteers. If you'd like to volunteer, please sign up in the office by the end of this week.

Bleed for the Throne:  Give blood in April to receive a Bleed for the Throne poster and a chance to win a full-size Iron Throne from HBO’s Game of Thrones.  The American Red Cross Blood Drive will be on Tuesday, April 30, from 12:00 noon to 5:30pm at the Gillett Town Hall.  For an appointment, please call Cora at 920-855-2304.  You can also register for a time online at  Students:  please bring in a note from parent if you are setting up an appointment during the school day.

The UWGB rep. will be here on Wednesday, May 1, during HS lunch in the commons for those interested.

Ruby’s Pantry is Saturday, May 11.  Volunteers should arrive between 6:30-7:00am.  Good time for community service hours for students.  Bring your paperwork with you. Registration for food is from 8:00-10:00am.  Distribution starts at 8:30am. Cost is $20 per share. Remember to bring 2 boxes/totes with you.

HS students.  The yearbook now costs $55.  You can pick up an order form from the main office or order online.

We also want you to know that this year’s HS yearbook will cover from last March 2018 through June 5th of 2019.   Yearbooks will be distributed in early August 2019, with autograph booklets available at the end of May to get signed by friends and then placed in your yearbook with an adhesive strip.  Deadline is May 28.

NWTC Foundation Scholarship:  Applications now open through April 30th.  Students apply once, may qualify for multiple scholarships.  Scholarship Writing Workshops – multiple dates and times to assist students.  Students may also contact Mrs. Parker directly if they have questions or need assistance.

The Shawano County Land Conservation Department is again providing $100 scholarships for Shawano County youth (students entering grades 9-12 this fall) to attend WI Land+Water Conservation Camp this summer.  The deadline to apply for a scholarship is May 31, 2019. The annual WI Land+Water Conservation Camp will again be at North Lakeland Discovery Center (Manitowish Waters, WI) the week of June 17-20, 2019. See the following website for more information:
